Bernstein Network Computational Neuroscience

Bernstein_Verein

Our mission

The Bernstein Network Computational Neuroscience supports science, research and education in computational neuroscience, and disseminates research themes and findings to the public. It is recognized as a non-profit organization.

Research in the Bernstein Network unites physics, biology, mathematics, medical science, psychology, computer science, engineering and philosophy in the endeavor to understand how the brain functions. It combines bio-medical experiments with theoretical models and thereby opens new avenues for scientific insights and applications.

Our activities

Membership

The Bernstein Network is open for researchers at all career stages. Every scientists in the field of computational neuroscience can apply for membership. This application has to be supported by two active members of the network. Find further details and an application form here.

Your benefits

Become a member and benefit from the Bernstein Conference, the network’s central scientific forum and the largest annual computational neuroscience conference in Europe.

Central public relation activities increase the national and international visibility of the network, addressing different scientific and non-scientific audiences.

Further benefits:

  • cooperative and cutting-edge research network in neuroscience
  • unique research infrastructure
  • strong international network partners
  • stepping stone to your scientific career
  • reduced fees to the annual international Bernstein Conference
  • travel grants for young researchers
  • special funds for special activities related to the Bernstein Conference
  • Bernstein Newsletter with in-depth research news, network news, and activities of the Bernstein Network Computational Neuroscience
  • Bernstein Bulletin, an e-newsletter bringing you the latest news and events, job vacancies and new calls within the Bernstein Network Computational Neuroscience
